Robert Hillman is the author and co-author of more than one hundred works of fiction, biography, autobiography and history. His memoir, ‘The Boy in the Green Suit’ won the Australian National Biography Award in 2005, and a number of other works have been short-listed for national awards, including the Prime Minister’s Literary Award. His collaboration with Najaf Mazari, ‘The Rugmaker of Mazar-e-Sharif’ became a bestseller in 2010, and a second collaboration, with Zarah Ghahramani, ‘My Life as a Traitor’ was published in sixteen countries and thirteen languages. His most recent works of fiction are, ‘Joyful’ (Text 2016) and ‘The Bookshop of the Broken Hearted’ (Text, 2018). Two further collaborations, ‘The Mouth That Roared’, the life story of Les Twentyman (Wild Dingo Press, 2017) , and ‘A Man Called Yarra’, the life story of Stan Yarramunua (Black Inc, 2018) are now available.
