One of the many reasons we love local author Andy Griffiths is for his great energy and generous spirit. When you’re in a room with Andy you can’t help but be excited about whatever it is that’s exciting him! Lucky for us and his adoring fans he’s excited about writing wonderful books. We are so delighted that he’s able to join us at Willy Lit Fest 2016 in not one but three amazing sessions. Come along to one or come along to all!
Andy Griffiths Kid’s Show – Go on a journey with children’s author, Andy Griffiths, through his wonderful world of creativity and story-telling. Andy will be signing books after his talk. Expected to sell out quickly – bookings essential!
Andy Griffiths Grown Up Talk – In this session for adults, Sherryl Clark talks with Andy Griffiths, best-selling writer of more than 30 books for children. But why is this a session for grown-ups? Andy’s books have been contentious over the years and we’ll be talking about gruesome fairy tales, where they connect with Andy’s stories and the real versions of Pinocchio, Grimms tales and Struwwelpeter.
Andy will also be performing at Stereo Stories Live at Williamstown Town Hall
Here’s a few special moments with Andy from the 2015 festival. Listen to what he has to say about the Willy Lit Fest and the pleasure of hearing authors speak about their work.
