The Williamstown Literary Festival is looking for a new Program Director to take over the reins for 2022.
Now in its 18th year, and the first of its kind in the region, our festival is a highlight
of the winter arts calendar in Melbourne’s inner west. While locally-based, we have developed a reputation for delivering a high-quality, rich and varied program that features renowned Australian authors, as well as emerging and local writers. With the aim of engaging readers and writers across a diverse range of interests and age groups, the festival offers a uniquely intimate experience, allowing attendees to meet and interact with authors and guests in the relaxed and welcoming community environment of the beautifully refurbished Williamstown Town Hall.
Our current Program Director, Stella Kinsella, is stepping aside after the 2021 festival, to be held this year 18-20 June. Visit our website for details.
The festival organising committee is now seeking expressions of interest from people willing and able to lead us into the future. The appointment may be for up to three years.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for reading and writing, with experience of working with a community committee, and with the drive to present something special. An understanding of Melbourne’s Western suburbs would be helpful, but not obligatory.
For a full position description, and to find out more about the festival, email email@example.com or call the WLF committee president, Hugh Jones, on 0400 505 889.
Expressions of interest close on Monday 28 June 2021.
