Williamstown Literary Festival is delighted to announce the appointment of Jane Finemore as its new Program Director.
Jane is the current Program Manager of the Queenscliffe Literary Festival. She succeeds Stella Kinsella.
Jane is a publishing professional who has worked in major and independent publishing houses in both Sydney and Melbourne over many years. During her career she has closely liaised with authors and organisers at dozens of literary festivals around the country. Jane now runs her own publishing communication consultancy and has been happily living in Williamstown since 2016.
“Willy Lit Fest has a well-deserved reputation as a warm, inviting hub for an engaged and engaging community and represents much that makes the west a wonderful place to live. My vision for 2022 is to continue to create a welcoming place for writers, thinkers and readers to share their knowledge, ideas, hard-found wisdom and moments of joy and for every participant and audience member to find stimulation, comfort and a sense of belonging in this most difficult of times,” Jane said.
WLF president Hugh Jones said Jane would be a great asset to the Willy Lit Fest.
“Our community has seen the past two festivals fall victim to the Covid-19 pandemic and we will need to re-build for 2022. Jane will enable us to do that,” he said.
