Paper Tales
Jackie Kerin is an award-winning author of non fiction children’s picture books and storyteller in the oral tradition. Her most recent children’s books, The Amazing Case of Dr Ward and A Shorebird Flying Adventure, were inspired by the Williamstown Botanic Gardens and the migratory shorebirds that visit Hobsons Bay every summer. Jackie shares a commitment to building community through story sharing and co-facilitates the Newport Storytellers - a monthly gathering for wordsmiths of all kinds. She is a familiar face in folk and literature festivals alongside musician collaborator, Sarah Depasquale. Their quirky shows reflect a shared loved of nature, music, words and stories.

Sarah Depasquale is a musician, teacher and librarian. For 20 years, she toured extensively with her partner Bernard as one half of the much-loved ensemble The Tea Rose Duo. When Sarah and Jackie Kerin (storyteller) first met they quickly discovered a shared love of music and stories and have been exploring the relationship ever since. Their shows have taken them to literary and folk festivals across Victoria and NSW, botanic gardens and bird hides.
