Ben Knight grew up in Mildura before embarking on an unexpected career in journalism that led to postings in Jerusalem and Washington DC where he worked under the tyrannical reign of bureau chief Lisa Millar. He is now a senior reporter and documentary maker with ABC News in Melbourne.
