Elena Turner

Currently completing VCE at Williamstown High School, Elena is a long time lover of reading and writing, despite gravitating towards science subjects. She has a number of interests including botanical art, watching period dramas and playing the flute and piano. Since being one of only three girls in her year nine robotics class, Elena has been aware of the lack of girls in STEM subjects and careers. In her spare time, she loves going for long walks along the local coastline. One day she hopes to have a short story published in the Fiction Edition of The Big Issue.

She is excited to come back to the Willy Lit Fest in 2021 to host a discussion on the subject ‘Girls in STEM’.
