Hoang Tran Nguyen
Biography
Hoang Tran Nguyen is a Naarm Melbourne based artist working in social practice and site-specific projects. In 2001 he established Bilo Artspace, a temporary hub of diasporic cultural activity at the former Little Saigon Shopping Centre, Footscray. As a parent-volunteer he helped found the language advocacy group ViệtSpeak in 2020. His work has appeared at West Space, Buxton Contemporary, Footscray Community Arts and Australian Centre for Contemporary Art.
